PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spot welding method for restricting crevice corrosion in the periphery of a spot welded joint, that is conventionally generated in a corrosive atmosphere.SOLUTION: A spot welding method for welding and joining together two pieces of metal materials to be welded and having a passive state coating on a surface, includes a welding process of: crimping together a first welded material which is one part of two mutually contacted materials to be welded, and a second welded material which is the other part, by using a first electrode and a second electrode; and flowing electric current to the first electrode and the second electrode in order to weld the first welded material and the second welded material together. On the first welded material, a concave shape portion is formed having a concave shape on a first electrode side and having a diameter larger than an end part of the first electrode, and the first electrode is crimped and welded onto a bottom part of the concave shape portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
