PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an echo cancellation device, a base device, a communication system, and an echo cancellation method for reducing a transmission bit rate by a network type echo cancellation processing, and improving resistance to a signal defect.SOLUTION: A voice signal to be transmitted from an echo cancellation device on a network to a base device is stored in the echo cancellation device, and when the voice signal is transmitted from the base device, a signal paired with the voice signal is specified from the voice signals stored in the echo cancellation device, and echo cancellation processing is performed by using the specified voice signal to avoid deterioration in the echo cancellation processing generated due to a packet loss.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
