PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tolerance ring assembly for a hard disc drive assembly with a plurality of discrete tolerance ring panels which can substantially prevent any rocking of a post within a bore under normal operational loads in nearly any radial direction, in a tolerance ring, in particular that installed inside a hard disc drive.SOLUTION: Each tolerance ring panel has an arcuate sidewall including an unformed portion, where at least one projection extends from the arcuate sidewall. The projection is surrounded by the unformed portion of the arcuate sidewall, and a tolerance ring 122 can be configured to be deployed in an interference fit between an inner component 120 and an outer component 102 to provide torque coupling between the inner component 120 and the outer component 102.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
