The present invention provides for the treatment of diarrhea-type irritable bowel syndrome in humans, including oral administration in a special manner of Bacillus coagulans SBC37-01, MTCC 5856 (including over 2 billion spores) in addition to standard care care. A method of treatment management is disclosed.
