PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method that is configured to grasp properties of the excavated soil in a chamber.SOLUTION: An evaluation method is characterized as follows: the earth and sand excavated with a cutter 11 are taken in a chamber 12 and additives are injected, and stirred and mixed by stirring blades 131 and fixed blades 132 in the chamber 12; the earth and sand are converted into mud having plastic fluidity and imperviousness; the pressure and shear force or shear strain acting on each section in the chamber 12 by the mud are measured by an earth pressure gauge 21 and a shearing force measuring device or a shearing strain gauge 22; and the properties of the mud in the chamber 12 are evaluated based on the measured value of the result.
