PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radioiodine adsorbent and a device for removing radioiodine which can stably maintain the rate of radioiodine removal to be not lower than a predetermined level as an indication of switch during air exhaustion under a high moisture atmosphere and can be used for a long time.SOLUTION: As the adsorbent of radioiodine in discharged air in a high moisture environment from an air-conditioning system of an atomic energy facility, an adsorbent which includes at least one of triethylenediamine, cesium iodide, sodium iodide, and hydrogen iodide is used for a carrier. The radioiodine adsorbent and the device for removing radioiodine are provided in a duct or a chamber where a processing target gas is supplied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
