A power electronics module having a modular jet impact assembly utilized to cool a heat generating device is disclosed. The modular jet impingement assembly is positioned at a dispensing recess and an intake end of the modular manifold, and includes one or more angled intakes that fluidly couple an intake tube to the dispensing recess. A modular manifold having a connection tube and one or more discharge connection tubes positioned at the discharge end of the modular manifold and fluidly coupling the discharge tube to the distribution recess. The modular jet impact assembly is a manifold insert removably positioned within the distribution recess, the one or more intake branch channels each including an impact slot, and each having a collection slot.
