PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance contact stability by enhancing the holding force directly at the contact part of a terminal and a pattern, without increasing the contact pressure of the terminal, even for a NON-ZIF type not including an actuator.SOLUTION: A connector 1 for flat wire includes a frame 71 having an insertion port 72 into which a flat wire 101 is inserted, and a plurality of terminals 51, 61 arranged in parallel in the frame 71 at predetermined intervals in the width direction of the insertion port 72, and coming into elastic contact with the patterns 151, 161 of the flat wire 101 inserted into the insertion port 72. The terminals 51, 61 have contact surfaces 55, 65 coming into elastic contact with the patterns 151, 161 of the flat wire 101, and the contact surfaces 55, 65 have, at a part thereof, protrusions 55a, 65a for locking the side faces 153, 154, 163, 164 of the patterns 151, 161.
