A radar antenna is described. The radar antenna includes a plurality of parasitic elements that affect the radiation characteristics. The radiation characteristics depend on the spatial positions of the plurality of parasitic elements with respect to the radar antenna and the phase angle (φ1, φ2, φ3) of energy radiated from the radar antenna and the plurality of parasitic elements.
