PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct-below type LED backlight having a transparent reflection plate assuring a sufficient amount of light and also showing a superior uniformity in luminescence on a light emission plane.;SOLUTION: This invention is LED backlight 10 in which a transparent reflector plate 3 at the direct-below type LED backlight 10 is provided with several divided compartment areas 31 as seen from a top plan view; and an opening ratio acting as an area rate of a transparent part 33 at each of the divided compartment areas 31 is gradually increased as it approaches an outside part including outer edge portions of the divided compartment areas 31 from a central portion around a direct-above position of LED element 2; and a rate of change of the opening ratio between one partial area in the divided compartment areas 31 and another partial area adjacent to an outside of one partial area is increased in monotone pattern as it approaches the outside part from the central part.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
