PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jump starter capable of starting an engine by executing discharge in a short time by storing electric power drawn out of a battery with a low residual voltage value.;SOLUTION: The jump starter includes: connection means (20) electrically connecting between a series connection body (80) formed by connecting double layer capacitors (30) in series and an on-vehicle battery (10); a booster circuit (70) inserted between the on-vehicle battery (10) and the series connection body (80) and capable of supplying a desired voltage at a vehicle; residual voltage value determination means (42) comparing a voltage (EY) of the on-vehicle battery (10) with a threshold value; progress management means (40) capable of displaying whether or not the on-vehicle battery (10) is available for a charging source on the basis of the determination result and setting charging time corresponding to the charging source to be connected and delay time required for engine starting after charging completion; and display means (90) capable of displaying at least either one of the expiration of the set charging time and the arrival of the delay time.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
