PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generating method for easily executing endoscopic examination.SOLUTION: An image generating method according to the present invention is an image generating method for generating an omnifocal image from a plurality of images including a first image and a second image. The image generating method according to the present invention includes: an estimating step of estimating a travel distance of the second image from the first image; a correcting step of correcting the second image based on the travel distance; and a generating step of evaluating respective focal points for the first image and the corrected second image and generating the omnifocal image on the basis of results of the evaluation.
