Disclosed herein are methods and apparatus for capturing images using automatic focus. In one aspect, a method is disclosed that includes communicating with a wireless device via a wireless communication network using a camera. The method further includes determining a distance between the camera and the wireless device using the wireless communication network, and adjusting the focus of the camera based on the determined distance. Finally, the method includes capturing an image using the camera's adjusted focus.
