PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately observe the behavior of a clutch.SOLUTION: The device for observing a clutch operation, capable of operating and observing a clutch engaging mechanism in a transmission in a subassembly state comprises: a clutch drum having an observation window part capable of visually recognizing an internal engaging mechanism from the outer peripheral surface; an imaging unit for imaging a part of outer peripheral surface of the clutch drum; and a position detector for detecting the position of the observation window part during the rotation of the clutch drum. The imaging unit images the engaging mechanism during operation through the observation window part when the position of the observation window part detected by the position detector is positioned within the imaging range of the imaging unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
