PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air compressor allowing for avoiding a risk of losing information by conserving equipment information that is recorded and accumulated in the air compressor.SOLUTION: A compressor includes a compressing device for generating compressed air, a drive circuit for driving it, and a control panel which controls the circuit. The drive circuit and the control panel include a memory respectively, and the information recorded in one memory is backed up in the other memory. Preferably the drive circuit and the control panel are replaceable. By conserving the same equipment information in two different memories for mutual complementing, the information recorded and accumulated in the compressor can be conserved. Further, in a case where one memory fails, or one of the drive circuit and the control panel is to be replaced, the data that has been backed up in a memory on the other side can be used to quickly restore equipment.
