PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a method for producing a wood building material; and a wood building material.SOLUTION: A decorative laminate comprises decorative plates and hardening agent layers disposed on back sides thereof. The hardening agent layers comprise a hardening agent liquid which is one liquid of a two liquid separately applying type adhesive, and two decorative plates are laminated so that back sides of respective plates face each other. Furthermore, a method for storing the decorative plates comprises: a hardening agent liquid application step where the hardening agent liquid is applied on the back sides of the decorative plates; a lamination step where the decorative plates are laminated so that the back sides of respective plates face each other; and a storage step where the decorative laminate is stored in a laminated state. Further, in a method for producing a wood building material, the decorative plates, which constitute the decorative laminate which has been stored laminated so that back sides of decorative plates having the hardening agent liquid applied on the back side, are separated, and thereafter the back side of each decorative plate is bonded to a substrate face on which a main agent liquid, which is the other liquid of the two liquid separately applying type adhesive, is applied.SELECTED DRAWING: None
