PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method efficiently distributing a variety of video signals using a PON (Passive Optical Network) system, without restricted by a copyright.SOLUTION: In a network system in which an OLT (Optical Line Terminal) 92 and a plurality of ONUs (Optical Network Units) 93 are connected by an optical transmission line, each ONU 93 includes a filter 31 which transmits a set video signal to an STB 94, and discards a signal other than the set video signal. The OLT 92 includes a filter control unit 21 which sets the filter 31 on the basis of each ONU 93, without accepting a viewing request from the STB 94, and distributes the video signal received from a relay network 81 to all ONUs 93 in broadcast.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
