PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spatial optical communication device radome that protects a spatial optical communication device from an outside environment and stabilizes temperature without having an adverse impact on optical communication performed by the spatial optical communication device, and that reduces an impact of background light and can make the communication direction of the spatial optical communication device invisible from the outside.SOLUTION: A spatial optical communication device 2 is covered by an optical radome 1 in which a functional thin film is formed on the outer surface of a semi-sphere glass dome, which can make the inside invisible from the outside without having an impact on optical communication, because a communication signal goes through the optical radome 1 with high efficiency and the light of visible light is reflected by the surface of the optical radome 1 working as a mirror surface due to the characteristics of the functional thin film of total reflection at a visible light band (380 nm-780 nm) and total transmission at a communication light band (1480 nm-1610 nm).
