PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid helium filter and a liquid helium filter unit which can reduce the concentration of a trace quantity of hydrogen included in liquid helium.SOLUTION: A liquid helium filter allows liquid helium to pass through, comprising a compressed filter medium 27 having pore surfaces of nonpolar nature, the pore surfaces formed by compressing a filter medium for selectively adsorbing nonpolar particles.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
