PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber bent shape analysis device with which it is possible to perform long distance measurement and seamless distribution measurement, and an optical fiber bent shape analysis method with which it is possible to dynamically track a change in bent shape at increased speed.SOLUTION: In the optical fiber bent shape analysis device, an MCF having two or more cores is used to form an optical fiber sensor head, each of the two or more cores having one of two kinds of BFS, the two kinds of BGS of the two kinds of BFS extending over partly overlapping and mutually different frequency ranges, said device comprising: a Brillouin analyzer 20 for directing test light consisting of pump light and probe light having the frequency of a range in which both of the two kinds of BGS overlap into the two or more cores via an optical splitter; and optical receivers 21-24, provided in each of the two or more cores at the emission end of the optical fiber sensor head, for receiving emitted light from each core and measuring strain distribution, over the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber sensor head, from increase or decrease in Brillouin gain that the probe light receives in each of the cores.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
