PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branch pipe having a valve device, and a method of using the same, capable of suppressing a fluid such as water, air or the like circulated in the branch pipe, to a predetermined very small flow rate in an initial stroke of an operation to open a pipe conduit by separating a valve element from a valve seat by operating the valve device by a worker, even when the worker is an unskilled worker who does not have advanced techniques.SOLUTION: In a branch pipe constituting a fluid pipe conduit and having a valve device, at least one of a valve element 5 and a valve seat 39 of the valve device is provided with a circulation passage S for allowing circulation of a fluid within an initial stroke range in valve opening by separating the valve element 5 from the valve seat 39.
