A reactor (1a) according to an embodiment of the present invention is provided with a core (3) and a coil (2). A core piece (3a) that constitutes at least one part of the core (3) is configured from a composite material that contains a magnetic powder and a resin. The core piece (3a) is provided with a coil arrangement section (31) that is inserted through the inside of the coil (2), an exposed section (32) that is formed integrally with the coil arrangement section (31) and that is arranged on the outside of the coil (2), and a chamfered section (33) that is formed on one part or all of an inside corner that is configured from the coil arrangement section (31) and the exposed section (32).
