The present invention relates to a fluid separation membrane having a high compressive strength in a fiber cross-sectional direction (direction perpendicular to the fiber axis), in which an organic polymer layer is formed on the surface of a porous carbon fiber having a co-continuous porous structure. The present invention also relates to a fluid separation membrane module and a porous carbon fiber having a co-continuous porous structure as a whole.
