PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an antibody that recognizes an N-type sugar chain modifiable portion of pancreas specific ribonuclease 1 (RNase 1), and detect a disease stage of pancreas cancer by using the antibody.SOLUTION: A monoclonal antibody which binds to an N-type sugar chain modifiable portion of pancreas specific RNase 1 when a sugar chain is not bound to the portion, and whose bond is inhibited when the N-type sugar chain is bound to the portion is produced, and a monoclonal antibody which can bind to the pancreas specific RNase 1 simultaneously with the antibody is produced. By obtaining a ratio between A and B using the antibodies, disease stages of pancreas cancer, particularly stages I and II are detected. A=a quantity of the N-type sugar chain modifiable portion of the pancreas specific RNase 1 which is a portion to which the N-type sugar chain is bound or a portion to which the N-type sugar chain is not bound. B=a quantity of the N-type sugar chain modifiable portion of the pancreas specific RNase 1.
