Case component extraction program from patent specifications in English

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately extract case components from an extracted English character string.SOLUTION: A computer is allowed to perform: a character string extraction step for extracting a character string from the description of what is claimed in an English patent specification converted into electronic data; and a case component extraction step for extracting noun phrases from English words by performing morphological analysis and syntactic analysis concerning the character string extracted in the character string extraction step, and extracting case components from the extracted noun phrases. In this case, the number of the extracted case components may be displayed or stored.
