PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a stable operation of converter gas collection and to efficiently collect the converter gas.SOLUTION: In a converter gas collection method, when collecting a converter gas generating from a converter into a converter gas holder and also supplying the gas from the converter gas holder to a converter gas combustion facility with a converter gas blower, a scheduled holder level is set based on a blowing execution schedule of the converter and an operation schedule of the converter gas combustion facility; an actual time of blowing start is calculated on the basis of the operation achievements before and after the blowing start of the converter; and the gas collection execution period of the converter gas by blowing from the actual time of blowing start is estimated. In the gas collection execution period, when an actually measured holder level and its time change amount are larger than the scheduled holder level, the converter gas blower is controlled to increase a converter gas supply amount. In a non-collection period, when the actually measured holder level and its time change amount are smaller than the scheduled holder level, the converter gas blower is controlled to decrease the converter gas supply amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
