PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a converter system for a solar battery having a partial shade compensation function for achieving the simplification and cost reduction of a circuit and system configuration, and for preventing the complication of control, the deterioration of a response speed, and the increase of a loss accompanied by power transmission.SOLUTION: A converter, a multistage voltage rectifier circuit and an input circuit are integrated to configure a converter system for a solar battery. A solar battery module chain is connected to the input part of the converter, and while a voltage to be applied to the whole module chain is adjusted by the operation of the converter, a rectangular voltage to be applied to an element in the converter is input via the input circuit to the multistage voltage rectifier circuit, and compensation currents are supplied to a shade module by the operation of the multistage voltage rectifier circuit. Thus, it is possible for all modules to operate in the neighborhood of the maximum power point even when a partial shade is generated.
