One or more amino acids selected from leucine, isoleucine and phenylalanine and abscisic acid are applied to fruit trees such as vines and rosaceae, preferably as solutions having a concentration of 0.2 mM to 100 mM and 0.1 μM to 10 mM, respectively. By doing so, the coloring of the fruit is promoted.
