PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injector characteristic value setting device capable of preventing a wrong cylinder number of an injector from being specified.SOLUTION: Once an article number of an engine 100 is input to a maintenance device 10, the maintenance device 10 specifies a rule determining a cylinder number recognized by an ECU 90 of the engine 100 (a rule represented with position relation to a specific region of the engine). An operator, on the other hand, inputs to the maintenance device 10 position relation between a number that the operator gives to a cylinder of the engine 100 based upon his or her standard and the specific region of the engine. Then the operator inputs to the maintenance device 10 a cylinder number (a number based upon the operator's standard) of an injector for which correction data is to be set and the correction data. The maintenance device 10 finds a cylinder number based upon the ECU standard corresponding to the cylinder number based upon the operator's standard, and specifies the cylinder number based upon the ECU standard to the ECU 90 to save the correction data in a storage part 91.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
