PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copper coil material suitable for a material of a copper rectangular wire having a relatively large cross-sectional area, a copper rectangular wire, a coated rectangular wire with the copper rectangular wire, a production method of a copper coil material enabling the copper coil material suitable for the material of the copper rectangular wire having a large cross-sectional area to be produced with high productivity and a production method of a copper rectangular wire enabling the copper rectangular wire having a large cross-sectional area to be produced with high productivity.SOLUTION: The copper coil material is provided which is obtained by winding a copper wire composed of pure copper or copper alloy in a coil form, and in which a cross-sectional area of the copper wire is equal to 12 mmor more and equal to 40 mmor less and an elongation at break of the copper wire is equal to 30% or more, and which has mass equal to 100 kg or more and includes a lubrication layer on a surface of the copper wire. The production method of the copper coil material is also provided which comprises the steps of: preparing a continuous casting rolled material; applying conform extrusion to the continuous casting rolled material thereby producing the copper wire; and forming the lubrication layer on the surface of the copper wire, subsequently winding up the copper wire in a coil form thereby producing the copper coil material.
