PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with a frame loss and to reduce delay by flexibly setting a waiting time in accordance with traffic variation or burst.SOLUTION: An uninterruptible switching system comprises an uninterruptible reception device including a wait processing section by which, between frames of the same sequence number arriving from two transmission lines, a first arriving frame is outputted and when a frame loss of one transmission line is detected, until a frame of the same sequence umber arrives from the other transmission line or until a predetermined waiting time elapses, waiting of a frame arriving from the one transmission line is performed. In the uninterruptible switching system, the wait processing section includes: a traffic variation detection part which detects traffic variation in the two transmission lines in a term T and sets the next term T in accordance with the traffic variation; and an average waiting time setting part which sets an average waiting time for performing frame waiting in accordance with the traffic variation in the term T and controls the frame waiting.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
