The method for separating molybdenum according to the present invention is a method for separating molybdenum from an acidic solution containing copper ions, iron ions and molybdenum ions, wherein the iron ions in the acidic solution are oxidized and the pH of the acidic solution is reduced to 0. By adjusting to 0.5 to 3.0, at least a part of the iron ions is precipitated as an iron compound, and molybdenum ions in the acidic solution are precipitated as a solid to separate molybdenum.
