The apparatus may identify a trigger condition relating to one or more of cell information regarding a cell to which the apparatus is connected, channel allocation information regarding the device, or a device display status of the apparatus. The apparatus may selectively activate or deactivate an advanced receiver of the apparatus based at least in part on the trigger condition.
