Method of determining at least one stability margin for a combustor (12), by obtaining modal characteristics of at least one spectral peak in the thermoacoustic dynamics, as well as deter mining the stability margin for the combustor (12) on the basis of the obtained modal characteristics, and an apparatus being adapted to carry, out said method.
