METHODS AND DEVICES FOR ENHANCING PRIVACY OF USERS OF A CLOUD-BASED SERVICE

The described technology generally relates to methods and devices for enhancing privacy of users of a cloud-based service. In one aspect, the methods and devices are adapted to be implemented by a proxy of a communication infrastructure for routing a query sent by a client using the communication infrastructure to at least two servers of a service provider system for processing the query. The routing may involve receiving the query comprising private data encrypted so that only the at least one server can access the private data, retrieving an address of the client in the communication infrastructure and storing the address, and sending the query to the at least one server, using an address of the proxy in the communication infrastructure as a source address.
