The invention relates to a water barrier shield foot element for supporting a protective module of a water barrier shield configured to be positioned between a body of water and an area of land to be protected. The water barrier foot element is configured to be arranged against a ground surface and extends in a longitudinal direction, wherein the foot element comprises a base element, a front end, a rear end and a first and a second longitudinal side portion.
