This invention relates to the use of 9-tricosene as a pest control agent against Drosophila suzukii, wherein 9-tricosene inhibits mating. The compound 9-tricosene can be used alone or in combination with other compounds to combat Drosophila suzukii in a more efficient way. In addition, the present invention provides for the use of a dispenser and specific spraying methods with 9-tricosene.
