The invention refers to a method and a system of payment parking taxes for means of transport, more specifically parking of automobiles in urban conditions, and can find application in systems of operation of transportation in urban conditions, including the specification of areas with automobile parking lots. The method involves sent by the consumer SMS message with a short number determined in advance by the mobile operator and containing a combination of letters and figures, representing the registration number of the motor vehicle. Before the expiration of the taxed period, the mobile operator sends a warning message that the paid parking period is expiring, after which sends a SMS message that measures of punishment will be applied upon the vehicle.
