Glycolysis process in the chemical recycling of pet, involving the chemical modification of glycerol, for the production of polyesters The present invention reports the process of synthesis of polyesters of various structural characteristics through the chemical recycling of poly (ethylene terephthalate). after-consumption from soda bottles and other beverage packaging by glycolysis using 1-phenoxy-2,3-propanediol and other phenolic glycerol derivatives. The developed technique favored the synthesis of thermally stable polyesters, structurally different and dependent on the reaction temperature. These polyesters can be used as precursors for the synthesis of other polymers, heterogeneous acid catalysts and for the preparation of ionic exchange polymeric membranes, which are used in fuel cells.
