Procedure for the Preparation of Compounds Derived from Chemical Modification of Cashew Nut Shell Liquid Constituents for Application in the Fight Against Dengue "The present invention describes the synthesis of three compounds derived from the cashew nut shell liquid constituents, LCC , with application in combating the dengue virus vector. The major problem in fighting the mosquito is that it reproduces itself in any container that stores water in both dark and sunny places without a vaccine or effective drug to eliminate the virus, The only way to fight dengue is by controlling the larvae and the adult of the vector.The cashew tree (anacardium occidentale l.) is a native plant of northeastern Brazil.The cashew nut liquid, lcc, corresponds to 25% of the cashew nut weight, being one of the richest sources of naturally occurring non-isoprenoid phenolic lipids, composed primarily of a mixture of cardanol, anacardic acid, cardol, 2-methylcardol and polymerized materials.
