? Process for preparation of polymeric nanoparticles containing tamoxifen citrate and curcumin. The present invention describes the process of obtaining polymeric nanoparticles containing curcumin andTamoxifen citrate, by the method of emulsification solvent evaporation method, widely used in the literature.The formulation developed has application as a medicine, e.g. in cancer treatment.Curcumin and tamoxifen citrate have a wide biological activity, while tamoxifen has been used for the treatment and prevention of breast cancer.However these drugs have some limitations of use being for the citrate tamoxifen toxicity to healthy tissue, and for curcumin, its low bioavailability.The system developed for the decrease of these limitations and a possible increase of activity of these compounds, having the advantage.In relation to the use of curcumin and tamoxifen citrate in isolated fashion, the synergistic effect is obtained in the combination of drugs.In addition, when encapsulated in nanoparticles is the enhancement of the properties of these compounds, such as the expansion of solubility in aqueous solutions, protection against degradation.Controlled release, increased bioavailability and reduced toxicity on normal cells.
