The present application for a patent for invention concerns the development of a method for low cost and easy manipulation for determination of 2 - furfuraldehyde (2 - f al) present in mineral oil isolAnte electrical transformers, from a reaction of 2 - furfuraldehyde with aniline acetate, carried out in the paper.So that it is possible to jointly determine the level of degradation of solid insulation from the analysis of the transformer oil.The reagent for the detection of the presence of the 2 - furfural in oil is composed of: (a) an aromatic primary amine.Aniline; (b) a second component being the glacial acetic acid; (c) and a paper with high fibre content and pH neutral.In addition, the detailed methods are described for the production and application of reactive role of aniline acetate.
