摘要

Modified tobacco plants with reduced nitrate levels and tobacco products generated from modified tobacco plants with reduced levels of tobacco specific nitrosamines (tsnas) are provided. Methods of reducing tsnas in tobacco products are also provided by altering gene expression of the nitrate uptake pathway.
