ophthalmic lens, visual device, method for correcting a presbyopic individual's vision and method for fitting a lens. comprising a complex surface having a geometric center (0, 0), a socket (fc) located 4 mm above the geometric center and a substantially umbilical progressing meridian having an addition of (a) equal to or greater than 1 , 5 diopter between a far vision reference point (fv) and a near vision reference point (nv), where the complex surface has: a normalized addition cylinder value (cia) of less than 0 , 8 in a circle with a radius of 20 mm centered on the geometric center of the lens; a decrease in the amount of the normalized sphere for the addition (day) in the circle with a radius of 20 mm centered on the geometric center of the lens of less than 0.04; a progression length (pl) of 14 mm or less, where the progression length is defined as the vertical distance between the socket (fc) and the meridian point at which the average sphere reaches 85% of progression of the addition.
