A wind turbine generator is provided with: a main shaft which supports a wind turbine rotor; a main bearing which rotatably supports the main shaft; a generator provided with a generator rotor and a stator; and a sleeve coupled to the generator rotor and is inserted onto the main shaft. With respect to the first and second stator plates and the rotor magnetic pole supporting structure, positions at which the rotor magnetic poles and the stator magnetic poles are detached from the sleeve are closer to the main shaft as reduction of distances from a closer end of the main shaft to the generator.
