A unit and a device for radiotherapy preclinical studies

The unit (1) according to the invention is intended for irradiating the object by a therapeutic beam (2) of particles from an external source (3) and simultaneous CT scanning of the object by means of at least one scanning pair consisting of a scanning ionizing radiation source (4) and an oppositely arranged imaging ionizing radiation detector (5). The unit is intended primarily for radiotherapy preclinical studies with animals within existing irradiation bunkers. The unit is assembled from a mobile platform (6) provided with a positionable table (7) for carrying the irradiated object and further provided with at least one supporting means carrying at least one scanning pair which is movably mounted relative to the adjustable table (7), wherein the supporting means, the scanning pair, and the positionable table (7) define a free work area (8) for unshielded passage of the therapeutic particle beam (2) through the unit (1).
