The present invention relates to a cupola (1) for a weapon (9) of small caliber, cupola which is integral with a structure (2) such as a turret of an armoured vehicle, and which comprises a cradle of the weapon (8) mounted to pivot with respect to a vertical shaft (10) having a base (11) intended to be made integral with the aid of a first fixing means, of a first platform (17) carried by the structure (2). The cupola is characterized in that the shaft (10) is connected to a vertical pivot (15) fixed by a connecting means (13,14) allowing a circular movement of the shaft (10) around the vertical axis (16) of the pivot (15) as well as a vertical translation of the base (11), - c may be made integral with the aid of the second fixing means, of at least one second platform (19) carried by the structure (2).
