The invention relates to medical biotechnologies, namely to the field of cellular engineering, and can be used in preparation of cellular and tissue preparations for the substitutional therapy of neurodegenerative diseases and traumas of the nervous system. The object of the invention is to provide a method for activation of directed differentiation of stem cells in the neuronal direction, allowing to increase the degree (depth) and the rate of differentiation. The task is solved by the fact that in the method of stem cells stimulation for directed neuronal differentiation, including isolation of mesenchymal stem cells, their cultivation for the increasing the cell mass and cultivation in the presence of biochemical factors of nerve tissue differentiation, during the cultivation in the presence of biochemical factors, the stem cells are subjected for 24-96 h to the impact of an electric field of a variable direction with magnitude of 5 V/m with pulse duration of 1-3 ms, in packs of 1-10 pulses and repetition rate of packs 1-170 Hz.
