The invention relates to aircraft engineering and can be used at metal-working factories for machining of parts by depth grinding with a wheel periphery, and can be used for forming processing control programs. The technical result is attained by provision of a method for program control of flat deep grinding by wheel periphery comprising cutting force adjustment by changing the longitudinal feed velocity, wherein control is performed while maintaining metal removal per second at a constant level; for this purpose, the longitudinal feed velocity at sections of grinding wheel cutting in and out is changed proportionally to the ratio of maximum grinding depth in the cutting in or out section to actual cutting depth at the beginning of the current section, in accordance with the relationship:; ;where [Vs] is velocity of longitudinal work table feed for grinding depth tmax allowable with consideration for grinding temperature, processing precision or for other process restrictions, mm/min; tmax is maximum grinding depth in the cutting in or out section:; ;ti is actual grinding depth at the end of each cutting in or out section that is calculated successively, starting from the first section.
