METHOD FOR ASSESSING A PATIENT'S SENSITIVITY TO FLUID REMOVAL FROM HIS VASCULAR SYSTEM, TO FLUID REPLACEMENT OR ADDITION, AND CORRESPONDING CONTROLLER

The invention describes a method for assessing sensitivity of a patient to fluid removal from vascular system, or fluid replacement or addition to vascular system. When performing the method, at least two body weight measurements of a patient are made in two time points, between thereof the fluid was removed, replaced or added from/in/to patient's vascular system; at each of the body weight measurements, anaemia condition index is determined; differences between two measurements of body weight and anaemia condition indices are determined; regression slope is determined which characterises interrelation between body weight changes and anaemia condition index changes; calculated regression slope is compared with a limit value or value range; then patient sensitivity to fluid removal from vascular system, fluid replacement, or addition, is assessed by determining saturation rate of at least one fluid distribution compartment in the body, chosen from blood volume, extracellular fluid volume and interstitial space.
